Gresham First has organized a
strong grassroots organization of residents, business owners, environmental
activists and neighborhood representatives to raise awareness and organize
opposition to large-scale development that will negatively impact our
community. Together we are using the power of scientific research, public
education and advocacy to shape our community. Many Oregon neighborhoods
have successfully stopped unwanted development through strong community
involvement. There are many ways to help! Click each

WRITE
A LETTER
In the City of Gresham, development applications include a 14-day public
comment period, which is the only time the City Planner will accept
comments on a project. Please wait to send letters regarding a specific
application until the appropriate time is announced. Email
us to join our contact list to be notified
of upcoming opportunities for public involvement. We are currently
circulatating a petition in regards to the Wal-mart application,
which you may sign at any time and will count as your comment to the
City of Gresham. Download the
petition and help us circulate now!
Now
is the time to submit letters to the editors of local papers, the Gresham
Mayor & City Council, Metro and our State leaders regarding "big-box"
protections for the future.
