Working together, we CAN shape our community.

Community support is critical to our campaign. Together we gathered 6,290 signatures and helped to encourage 1,1181 personal comments. The combined efforts of the Joint Council of Teamsters #37, Hollywood Impress and Terry Shumway resulted in 3,300 direct mailers which included a detachable card to the City Planner listing relevant concerns. Local organizations supporting our campaign agreed to notify their email memberships and encourage anyone affected by the proposed development to write. The public comment period showed our City overwhelming opposition to the Wal-Mart proposal and made history in Gresham for number of comments received.

While we have great confidence in the progress of the campaign, we will continue our efforts through the appeal phase to ensure responsible development. We still have a pressing need for financial contributions to provide professional expertise and guidance! If you cannot contribute financially, please consider spending time on the campaign.
