Gresham First Volunteers work
on important elements of each campaign, following the development process
through the City and State appeal systems. Public Involvement is important
to help raise awareness of proposed developments and provide information
on each project, site and impacts. Writing
a letter to the City Planner during the open record period
is the most important thing each person can do to voice
your opinion on a project!
Volunteers help spread the word
and get others involved. They help at events, make calls, attend rallies
and public meetings, and circulate petitions.
If you would like to volunteer on a campaign, please help us to determine
the appropriate use of your time and skills. Your participation would
be welcome and appreciated. Please
call 503.756.7206 or email greshamfirst@hotmail.com.
Even if you only have time to
write a letter, this action alone can and will make a difference. Your
opinion counts and is important that your voice is heard. There are
other ways you can stay involved in the campaign:
•
Contribute to our fundraising efforts
• Volunteer for a committee
• Download and circulate a petition. Signing the Wal-Mart
petition represents your review period comment. We are also currently
circulating a smart growth
petition.
• Write a Letter to your local Government
officials & Editors of local newspapers.
• Email our link to friends and family & share your knowledge
and enthusiasm with others.
• Purchase a yard sign at Jazzy Bagels in Historic Downtown
Gresham to help raise public awareness
