We successfully secured Chris Cook, the Portland based land use attorney who has successfully defeated Wal-Mart in other Oregon communities. She has great confidence in our case due to land use and traffic issues at the proposed site. We feel that she will be critical to our success and need financial contributions to fund her services. She stressed the importance of investing in an independent traffic review. Greenlight Engineering has provided expert analysis of Wal-Mart’s traffic study. Research volunteers work to demonstrate that the proposal does not comply with City Planning and Development Code, helping to reduce the expense of paid experts.
